I've been wanting to share some deeper meaning to a track I produced back in 2019. Today fits the narrative.​

I produced a song called "Spirit Box" in 2019 shortly after my father's passing in November of 2019. I then released the track with my fourth album titled "The Third Chapter." This was intended to be a unique and commemorative track in honor of my father and an expression of how I felt at the time.
​
I decided to purchase a spirit box in an attempt to communicate with the dead, and more specifically with his spirit. A close friend of mine and myself scheduled a meeting with over a dozen spiritual mediums and psychics to assist in an EVP session with that very intent.
​
Once we arrived to this private home in Cave Creek, AZ. We introduced ourselves and placed my father's urn (box really), a picture of him and I, and the spirit box in the center of the room.
​
We proceeded with the session and it was nothing short of surreal and amazing in every way. I felt blessed and absolutely thankful for what I believed to be a successful and great EVP session.
​
I then took the EVP session and integrated segments of the actual recording into this song called "Spirit Box" as a bridge to the song and an extended outro, hence why the track is so long.
​
If you decided to give it a listen, whether you're a believer in spirits and the afterlife or not, just remember that everyone has their own way of dealing and coping with someone who they have loved and lost. I loved my father and although we weren't on the best of terms before his passing, I will forever keep him in my heart and my memories.

This was how I dealt with my father's passing and it brought me the necessary closure I was needing on an emotional, spiritual, and mental level.
